Assyrian Dancing Penguins

There are about two million speakers of Assyrian today. They are scattered around the middle east , with ethnic enclaves in Sweden, Germany and the United States. Our talmudic Aramaic is a close variant of the language Assyrians speak today. Their alphabet or "alap bet" has the same names for its letters as the letters of the Hebrew alef bet. The same letters that have final forms in Hebrew have them in Aramaic as well. The existence of this language today is living evidence of important early chapters in Jewish history.
I am presenting the following video by the renowned Assyrian Singer Evin Agassi. The music is a dub of a clip from the movie "Happy Feet. " It is a funny example of an ancient culture meeting the modern world Sphere: Related Content
