Concerning Clean Government (By Magdeburger Joe)

It seems like only yesterday that the Democrats were riding a wave of moral indignation at the moral shortcomings of the Republicans. As soon as they took office, they set out to offend thew very voters to whom they had appealed. From Nancy Pelosi's expensive tastes in air travel to pork in the districts of key Democrats, it seems clear that only the snout at the trough has changed. Now we have Eliot Spitzer He was the latest crusader for moral rectitude on the New York horizon and completely outdid anything he might have hoped to uncover in his investigation of the Republicans.
I think we should keep an eye on anyone in power, and separate our debate about differing party ideologies from the issue of clean government. We should never stop debating issues revolving around competing ideologies and economic philosophies. Anyone in power faces temptation Everyone in power should be watched. As my father used to say to me in high school, "It's not that I don't trust you, it's that I don't" Sphere: Related Content
